Compare two Robert Browning poems - The Laboratory and My last Duchess. :: English Literature

Compare two Robert toasting poems - The Laboratory and My last Duchess. The two Robert Browning poems I have elect are The Laboratory andMy last Duchess. My initial reaction on reading The lab wasone of horror and fascination as it tells a tale of a woman scorned. Ifound it horrifying that a human be could plan in such a cold andcalculating modality, hardly I too found this fascinating. Not that I bid you spare her the painfulnessLet death be felt and the proof remainMy feelings on reading My closing curtain Duchess was pity for the Duke who wasnarrating the poem as it was clear that his green-eyed monster and insecurityhad ruined their relationship.she smiled, no doubt,Wheneer I passed her but who passed withoutMuch the identical smile? Both poems have contemporary relevance, as people nowadays are stillintrigued by murder, mystery and tales of unrequited love. Similarly, the character of thenarrator in My Last Duchess also displays obvious jealousy although itis without such an intensity of emotion. It is my opinion that the
